It's not a « Guide Michelin », it's just a list of good ideas to hang out, shop and snack in our beautiful city : Nantes
Crébillon Street – Royale Square – Graslin Square
(Rue Crébillon – Place Royale – Place Graslin)
All expensive brands are in Rue Crébillon. You can find Kookaï, Sandro, Gérard Darel, Vanina, Minelli, Pablo, Lacoste, Clarisse (where they sell very expensive shoes), Maje, Levi's, Tara Jarmon, Caroll, BCBG Max Azria (Marie-Lou's favorite American place!), Princesse Tam-Tam, The Kooples, and other ones...
We aren't going to tell you every brand, you have to come here to discover them ! By the way, we know, we know... : France is THE COUNTRY of fashion !
In the same street, you can find Debotté where you can eat very very good pastries ! (Marie-Lou' likes the raspberry pie and Paul likes the macaroons).
On Place Graslin, you can find the Graslin theater and the most popular brasserie in Nantes : La Cigale. On Place Royale, you can find a majestic fountain and a shop where you can eat tasty ice-creams : Amorino (Inès' favourite shop)
Passage Pommeray
It's a very famous old passage in Nantes.We are not going to tell you about its story because another group will do it. You can find all kinds of shops : Clothes, food, stamps....
Our favorite one is Larnicol : What a great shop ! It's a shop where you can buy chocolate in any form that you want !

Calvaire Street ( Rue de Calvaire )
The principal street to do shopping. All young people enjoy hanging out and go there because the prices are cheap : We can find some brands like H&M, Zara, Réserve Naturelle (for cheap jewels but good quality), Naf Naf, André (for shoes), Sephora (for perfumes and make up), Saga (for make up too), Game (for geeks) and other shops to snack.
Galeries Lafayette – Quartier Bouffay
(Bouffay District)
You'll come across the Galeries Lafayette where you can shop and find all the trendy brands and clothes but we admit : it's quite expensive.
You can also find good shops if you want to have a snack like Amorino for ice-cream.....

Place Commerce (Commerce Square)
This Place is the main and the most famous Place in Nantes. In the city we sometimes say : « Tous les trams passent par Commerce » or in English : » All the tramways go through Commerce ». There is the Cinema and the FNAC shop where you can find books,CDs, DVDs, video games.....
L'Île de Versailles (Versailles Island)
It's a special island where you can have a good time. It's a special place in Nantes because there is a garden very different from what garden usually look like. It reminds you of Asian culture with all the trees and the greenery. It's a very quiet place too.

Places where you can eat When you want to eat something very tasty at dinner for a great occasion or not, you should go to 'La Cigale', it's a very old brasserie where you can eat and drink, it's a little bit expensive but very tasty and when you go there, you are never disappointed.
You can also go to 'Joe Carpa', which is also a brasserie but more modern and design. Its specialties are Carpaccios, and it's less expensive than 'La Cigale' There is 'Gusto' too but it's very expensive. If you want to eat a good piece of beef, you can go to 'L'Entrecôte'. They cook meat very well and you can choose how you want it done.
